About the Counselling Board
JoSAA manages seat allocation for admissions to 121 premier central institutions including 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs, and 38 other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced ranks.
Academic Eligibility
- Must have qualified JEE Main 2026 (for NITs, IIITs, GFTIs) or JEE Advanced 2026 (for IITs).
- Passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology.
- Secured minimum 75% marks (65% for SC/ST/PwD) in Class 12 or ranked in top 20 percentile.

Choice Filling and Locking
Fill and arrange preference orders of academic branches and colleges. Lock before the deadline.
Seat Allocation
Check allotted seats in rounds 1 through 6.
Acceptance Mode
Choose Float, Freeze, or Slide options.
Document Verification & Payment
Upload required documents online and pay seat acceptance fee.
Physical Reporting
Report to the final allotted institute for physical verification and balance fee payment.
